Let's Get The Lilac Room in Front of My Future Agent
Help me spread the word about my novel - Journey to Publication - Week 6.5
I’ve had a lifelong dream to become a published novelist.
Ever since the age of three, when all the other kids in my pre-school wanted to be astronauts or mad scientists, I knew I wanted to be a writer. I’ve always had a story to tell, and I’ve been writing novels since the age of ten, dictating my fantastical ideas to my friends on the playground tire swing. I completed my first novel when I was 15; at 20, I wrote a postmodern experimental novel; at 22, I wrote a novel reflecting on college life; now, at 27, I am ready to share my latest novel, THE LILAC ROOM, with a larger audience.
I’m sharing the pitch of my novel below and hope to land on someone who can provide a referral to an agent who might be a good fit. If you’ve been a longtime reader of Pens and Poison and enjoy the work I put out every week, consider restacking this article. I hope that we can get this piece in front of a published author who might be willing to provide a referral to their literary agent or agency. And, if you are a subscriber to Pens and Poison and have worked with an agent for your book, I can’t express how much it will mean to me if you put me in touch with them through a referral.
I hope that by some miracle, we’ll get this post in front of my future agent.
So don’t forget to share this post with your friends. The little girl on the tire swing will send you her infinite gratitude. ❤️
In the meantime, here’s the pitch to my novel THE LILAC ROOM.
Girly this is amazing! This an excellent book pitch!
If you ever need any beta readers, I'd love to volunteer!
Great pitch! Just restacked with a couple people added.
