I’ve been going through this process for a piece of hard science fiction I’ve written as well. Into the low dozens for submissions to no avail, but I recognize that I still need to multiply that by 10x.
I also need to rewrite and expand, so I’m not feeling like it is totally polished either.
I have gotten some kind responses from several agents, but no takers or manuscript requests to date.
I admire your resilience, Liza - as well as you desire to help other writers. And your smart marketing to build a consumer base. Most of all, a story happening in real time.
I see so much about people getting 5 requests within their first week--and this is honestly giving me hope.
I've been querying since the end of August and still haven't had a single request. I just recently did a huge overhaul of my query and my pages, and I'm still not getting any requests. But I'm gonna hold out hope because I only just sent that new batch about 3 weeks ago, and currently only have about 20 queries out. Thank you for sharing your journey!!

I queried 150 agents to get 8 manuscript requests. Keep going!!
