The problem IMHO is that they believe (as all their ideological idols have told them) that gender is entirely socially constructed, and if they stop showing boys the manly men they hate so much they'll go away. The problem is that at least some of it's biological, there will always be manly men, and if you remove depictions of manly men with honor (and break up families so boys don't have a role model in the house), they'll become manly men *without* honor. You think Indiana Jones or James Bond would be running a brothel?
I've also got a bit of a conspiracy theory that the lesbians in charge of a lot of this stuff want to make it impossible for men to be manly so they can have a shot at the bi women, but that's just my nutty idea.
I think the guys who would have become writers in a less biased publishing environment are out writing Substacks.
